Quick tips & shortcuts
Hidden shortcuts that save taps — swipe a row for quick actions, and tap counts and tiles to jump straight where you want.
A handful of shortcuts make everyday use faster. None of them are buried in menus — once you know they’re there, they save a lot of taps.
Swipe a word for quick actions
In any word list, swipe a row sideways to reveal its quick actions — no need to open the word first. Swipe from the right for Edit, Move and Delete; swipe from the left to have the word read aloud.
Edit, move, delete — or read aloud
- Swipe left (from the right edge) → Edit · Move · Delete.
- Swipe right (from the left edge) → Read aloud.
(Shown here with two rows open at once so you can see every action — in the app you open one row at a time.)
Swipe a box for quick actions
The same gesture works in your box and folder list: swipe a row to Edit (rename), Move or Delete it, right where it sits.
Rename, move or delete a box
Swipe any box, folder or book row from the right for Edit · Move · Delete — the quickest way to tidy up.
Tap a box’s progress to start practising
Every row in the box list shows a learn-progress bar on the right. Tap it to jump straight into that box’s exercise — no need to open the box first.
Straight into the exercise
The little progress bar at the end of each row is a button: tap it and the exercise start screen for that box opens right away.
Tap a compartment’s count to see its words
On the flashcard box start screen, each compartment (1–6) shows a word count. Tap the number to open exactly those words.
Jump into one compartment
Below each compartment is its word count. Tap it to open that compartment’s word list — handy to peek at what’s due where.
Tap a status tile to filter the exercise
On the exercise start screen the four tiles — New, Bad, Ok and Good — aren’t just stats. Tap one to filter the exercise to only those words.
Practise just the hard ones
Tap Bad to drill only the words you keep getting wrong, or New for the fresh ones — the exercise instantly narrows to that group. Tap the tile again to clear the filter.
