Statistics, streak & vacation break

Daily goal, weekly streak and the learning statistics explained — plus the vacation pause for the flashcard box.

Your daily goal

The daily goal is the foundation of your streak. You choose what it is measured in:

  • Score — reach a certain number of points per day
  • Words — learn a certain number of words
  • Minutes — study for a certain amount of time

You set the target value yourself — better to start small and keep going than to aim big and give up.

Settings → Daily goal: type and target, per language pair.

The weekly streak

Your weekly streak is seven daily goals combined per week. You don’t have to hit them on seven separate days: reach the total any time during the week — all at once or spread out — and the week counts for your streak. The start page shows how many weeks your streak has lasted and how far along you are this week.

If you allow notifications, the app reminds you in time before a streak week is lost.

Reading the statistics

Under Statistics you’ll find your learning progress as a chart:

  • Metrics: score (points from correct vs. wrong answers), time, and newly learned words
  • Periods: week, month or year

At a glance you can see on which days you studied, whether your error rate is dropping and how your vocabulary is growing. The flashcard box additionally shows its own summary with time and words after every session.

The learn-progress ring

On the start page and in every box overview, a coloured ring shows at a glance how well a box already sits — it fills up the more words you master, maturing in colour from grey through red and yellow to green:

The ring in the app — here 72% for this box.
0%
  • Pending 0
  • Weak 0
  • OK 0
  • Excellent 0

384 words

  • Pending (grey) — not asked yet.
  • Weak (red) — only asked a few times: the word may well already be solid, but that only becomes certain after a few repetitions.
  • OK (yellow) — answered correctly several times.
  • Excellent (green) — answered correctly often enough to count as mastered.

So the status is less “do you know it” than “how sure are we yet” — the more often a word is answered correctly, the further it moves toward green. Drag the slider to watch words flow from pending to excellent as your progress rises.

The vacation break

Two weeks away — and the flashcard box overflows? That’s what the vacation break is for: it pauses the flashcard box so due words don’t pile up while you’re gone. The pause stays active until you end it yourself.

Important: the vacation break only pauses the flashcard box — not your streak. If you want to save your streak across a vacation, a short exercise round in between is enough to collect the week’s daily goals.

A scheduled vacation break — start and end date, cancelable any time.

Reminders

Allow the app notifications and it nudges you at the right moments: for new and due words in the flashcard box, in time before a streak week is lost, and once a month to back up. Which reminders you get is set in the settings.
